Dr. Todd Murphey

Team Doctor

A native of Port Huron, Dr. Murphy is an orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in sports medicine surgery. He joined Orthopedic Associates of Port Huron in 2009.

After completing his Bachelor of Arts degree in biology at Albion College in Albion, Michigan, Dr. Murphy received his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. He then completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He then went on to complete advanced training in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery at the Steadman Hawkins Clinic in Denver, Colorado. During his training in Denver, Dr. Murphy served as an assistant team physician for both the Denver Broncos and the Colorado Rockies. Dr. Murphy is the areas only fellowship trained sports medicine surgeon.

Dr. Murphy is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He is also an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, the Hawkins Shoulder Society and the Mayo Clinic Orthopaedic Alumni Association.

When he is not seeing patients, Dr. Murphy enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He also enjoys kite surfing, fishing, reading, skiing, and playing ice hockey.

Dr. Adam Hoffman

Team Doctor

Adam Hoffman is a physician assistant at Orthopedic Associates of Port Huron.

Adam received his undergraduate degree in science education at Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina, in 1998, and he later earned his graduate degree in biomedical science in 2002 from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia, South Carolina. In 2004, he completed his physician assistant studies at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina.

Adam is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

Dr. Ramica Pesta

Team Chiropractor

The official chiropractor of the Port Huron Prowlers, Dr. Ramica Pesta was born and raised in Aurora, Illinois. After seeing how chiropractic care changed the life of her family, Dr. Ramica decided to give it a try for herself. She instantly fell in love and at a young age decided to pursue a career in chiropractic. She completed her undergraduate degree at Lewis University in Romeoville, IL. Shortly after graduating, she attended Logan College of Chiropractic where she graduated with both a Doctorate of Chiropractic and a Masters in Nutrition and Human Performance, both with honors. Dr. Ramica moved to Michigan in 2018 to be with her husband. They were recently married in September 2020.

When Dr. Ramica is not providing chiropractic care, she enjoys reading, traveling, and being outdoors. She loves being active by running, biking, weight training, and boxing. Dr. Ramica also enjoys volunteering in the community.

Her mission is to share her passion for chiropractic and wellness. She strives to change your life the way chiropractic changed the life of her and her family.
